So who is ready for Otakon 2012?

If you want to go, we will need to make hotel Reservations soon so we can get a nice, close by Hotel and the price per night will be cheaper since. I know people who make Reservations a year in advanced.


Otakon 2011 was the first convention I went to and it has been the best one yet!!!

Otakon 2011 was the best one hotel wise for me; I was in the Hyatt connected directly to the convention.

However, I got bored by day 2 >_>. maybe it was just me, but there wasn't really much keeping my interest there that year. V_V

Think I'm going to end up skipping 2012.

@VideoGeek sorry to hear that,I was a little bord, but as long as some friends come it will make it more fun.

Actually had some of my best friends there with me in the room. It's just the excitement of that con has worn off for me.

I'm one of those people who are at their happiest when they are productive. I like conventions when I'm staffing, or shooting a video, or etc just because it feels like something is being accomplished in doing so. When I'm not doing any of that, I get bored. :-/

I feel the same way. Plus, I don't like the bigger cons. I like small cons, when I'm running around and by the end of the day everyone knows everyone. I feel like the bigger cons are just ways you can spend money.

@Himechan I agree with you that at the bigger cons your running around alot and you wont get to everything you want to do and by the end of the day everyone doesn't knows everyone. But I liked the dealers room at the bigger cons even though its just ways you can spend money finding stuff you would need to search the internet for. Also you get to see new animes comming soon and Movies that will come out with in the year. And it's alway cool to see how detailed some people are willing to cosplay.

So I Booked my room for Otakon 2012 Today, I'm Staying at the Hilton Baltimore connected directly to the convention and also part of the Convention.

@Himechan I hope you and your friends deside to come and if it's borring lets make it fun.

Himechan I know you can,You have that fun personaltiy that you can draw people to join in. Thats something I liked about you from the first time we met.

I personally love Otakon. Sure it's harder to find people (I started going to Otakon maybe 8-9 years ago to meet up with a friend and still haven't found her ever) but once you find someone the first time, it is still possible to keep finding them, strangely even without calling sometimes.

You also get a lot of fun group things going on. Like one year, someone brought in a ball and we played a HUGE game of keep up.

And a really great part is that you are more likely to find people cosplaying from the same/game anime you are or who can recognize it if it isn't as common.

Also trying on dresses and cosplay in the Dealer's Room is a lot of fun ^_^

@Hex I have to agree with you there out of the 3 conventions I have gone to Otakon was the best still I like it more then ComicCon and KotoriCon because it was all about anime,cosplay and manga and you could find anything and buy it there. Even the people where excepting of cosplaying anywhere you went and they were nice.

So does anyone want to group theam for Otakon How about One Piece? Devil may cry?

I'm planning as Portagas D Ace or Hawkeye Mihawk
I might also be Dante one day as well

If we could pull off the 6 paths of pain that would seal all the attention at otakon 2012.
